Philanthropy

Philanthropy is an important part of Greek life at UC San Diego as it promotes community involvement and service. Each IFC chapter raises thousands of dollars for local non-profit charities every year via methods of tabling to donating blood and more. These activities provide the necessary assistance to those in need as well as strengthening the connection between IFC chapters and the San Diego community.

Aside from the community itself, philanthropy promotes each individual to use skills like outreach, organization, and team work. Members are able to connect closely with important causes and foster a culture of giving that promotes a lifelong dedication to community service.
