Join us for an exclusive opportunity to explore the diverse and vibrant culture of UC San Diego’s Greek Life. This event will introduce Potential New Members (PNMs) to the values, traditions, and benefits of joining one of our 13 Interfraternity Council (IFC) chapters. Each chapter will be represented by up to six executive board members, providing firsthand insights into their brotherhood, leadership opportunities, and lifelong connections. Don’t miss this chance to engage with chapter leaders, ask questions, and discover what makes Greek Life at UC San Diego unique.

Beach Barbecue & Sports Day

Join us for a laid-back and engaging event designed to help Potential New Members (PNMs) connect with members from each IFC chapter at UC San Diego. This is a great opportunity to get to know the personalities, interests, and values that make each chapter unique. Enjoy some good food, meet new people, and play sports on the stunning La Jolla Shores beach. Whether you're looking to learn more about Greek Life or just want to hang out in a fun and welcoming environment, this is the perfect chance to do so. See you there!

Meet the Chapters
Sungod Lawn, 4-9pm
Don’t miss the final IFC event where every chapter will be represented at their own booth in a semi-circle on Sun God Lawn. This is your last chance to connect with members from each chapter, ask questions, and solidify your plans for rush. With a live DJ setting the vibe and plenty of redbull, this is the perfect opportunity to find the chapter that’s right for you. Come out, meet the brothers, and lock in your rush events before chapter’s recruitment kicks off the next day!
Recruitment Process
Rushing can be a confusing process, especially when you are unfamiliar with the terminology that goes with it. Below are some frequently used words that go along with fraternity recruitment.
Rush - The process to initially join a fraternity.
PNM - Potential New Member, people who are looking to join a chapter
Invite Only - An event in which the PNMS that attend the event must be invited by the chapter.
Bid - A formal invitation to join a fraternity, only valid after signed in front of IFC VP of Recruitment
Living Requirement - There is no living requirement to join any IFC fraternity at UC San Diego.
